Have you ever had a really weird coincidence intersect with your life? Over the past few months, I’ve been taking notice of such events, often so small that they slip under our radar, never to be remembered. Take today, for instance.

We Student Advisors will be doing a “Connect-a-thon” over the weekend, in which we call ALL of the incoming freshmen who have not sent in their Summer Orientation RSVP information. To facilitate this daunting task, during which the 50 of us will make somewhere near 2,000 phone calls, we’ll have sheets with information on each student that include a name, phone number, home town, etc. Today we were given a sample sheet with three RANDOM students on it. The first two sample students hailed from New Jersey, so close to my old home that they shared my old area code. The third lived in my current home town in Florida.

Now I pose this simple question: what are the odds? You people think I’m really close to counting the stitches in my blanket for Biblical references, don’t you?
