I have found the greatest screensaver that mankind has ever known, and it is called Electric Sheep. Electric Sheep is essentially a fractal screensaver, the twist being that all current users collectively influence the “evolution” of the fractals. The swirling images that Electric Sheep generates are beautiful to begin with, but to see them change and hybridize over periods of hours and days makes it that much more special. It’s as if every few hours the screensaver changes completely, yet still has recognizable traces of its past iterations. That and it is absolutely mesmerizing to look at.
