On the occasion of the new Simpsons movie that’s coming out on July 27th, Fox has put together a bloated and entirely unnecessary Flash website. Packed with animation, sound effects, and games, the site is a concerted attack on your bandwidth and free time. All we’re really interested in here is the big button that says, “CREATE YOUR SIMPSONS CHARACTER”.
I’ll be honest. This fulfills a desire that I’ve had for about eighteen years now. Plain, side-cropped hair? Check. Bushy eyebrows? Check. Glasses? Check. Doofy smile? Flawless. It’s like staring into a mirror. I imagine that Millhouse, Martin, Frink, and me would be best buddies in college.
