It’s a groggy Tuesday, and the writer’s block is hitting me hard. So, everyone keep a close eye on my left hand while I use my right to cleverly redirect you to Respectful Insolence, which has quickly become one of my favorite bookmarks.

This Scienceblog is run by the mysterious Dr. Orac, a surgeon who, in addition to his many real-world duties, finds the time to write extensively on things like Holocaust denial and alternative medicine quackery. Please make no mistake, he is against both these things. Orac rails against the purveyors of specious, unproven medical treatments and Zombie Hitlers alike with incredible thoroughness and attention to detail. He’s educational, unapologetically hard-nosed, and great fun to read. I’ve particularly enjoyed his thoughts on the controversial alternative medicine cases of Abraham Starchild Cherrix and Katie Wernecke (most recent installment).

Orac’s posts are voluminous almost to the point of drowning in detail (does the man sleep?), but a quick search of his blog reveals something for just about everyone. Well worth some exploration.

Also, if you’d care to help with my writer’s block, leave suggestions in the comments.
