It is one of my favorite books, though it's been long enough since I read it that I don't remember the details very well. It had some interesting commentary on religion and finding meaning in life and death. Don't bother with the other 2 sequels, though. They weren't that great. And I can't speak to the parralel <i>Ender's Shadow</i> series yet, as I've only read the first book, and it was just okay.
