possibly the least self-aware sentence ever

Referring to a 2006 speech of Barack Obama’s, James Dobson recently said, “I think he’s deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview, his own confused theology.”

You don’t say.

Hello, Pot? This is the Kettle. Or to put it in terms Dobson might understand, “Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye.”

That’s Matthew 7:3-5. I only know this because of The Brick Testament, the only source of Biblical verse I’ll ever really need.

James Dobson is one of the world’s premiere experts in distorting the Bible to fit one’s worldview. Very few people know more about it than he does, due to his wealth of first-hand knowledge and experience in the field.
