Ultimately I compromised and went for the mathematical middle: teal. Still not entirely sure about it. The smaller squares that back the previous/next links are definitely staying that shade of khaki. Green looks nice <em>if</em> the header isn't on the screen at the same time. Otherwise it's just too much. Perhaps it's time to ditch that damask background, perhaps not. I'm still undecided.
