One of the wonderful things about language is its flexibility. Given a reasonably complex sentence, you can be fairly certain that this combination of words has never been written or spoken before. Of course, there are other times when rather than fairly, you can be absolutely certain that the sentence you are hearing has never been heard. Ever. Tonight we experienced one such example.
To live with my roommate, Dave, is to live the life of Extreme. Scratch that. X-TREME. It leads to gems such as:
“Dave, put the sword back in the fridge.”
